Katie started her career in Information Technology Management and Network Administration in the Finance industry, managing the technology team for a small investment firm in Boston, while later supporting the technology infrastructure for multiple clients as a Network Consultant for a Boston-based IT firm. There she attended the University of Massachusetts and Boston University where she studied Business Management and Information Systems. After a move to the west coast, she obtained a certificate as a Holistic Health Coach from the Institute of Integrative Nutrition and subsequently became certified as a Clinical Herbalist by the Self Heal School of Herbal Studies.

She has also written several research articles on herbalism, wellness, and nutrition for The Herbal Academy. In addition, she was an Office Manager at an integrative wellness center where she performed office administrative and executive duties, client billing, payroll, inventory management, scheduling, and calendar management; while cultivating client relationships and guiding them through online wellness programs. In this role, she also assisted the CEO in optimizing her online presence by collaborating on sales and event marketing, graphic design, social media management, online program launches, and targeted mailing lists.

She also has experience in the retail/customer service industry working for over ten years at Whole Foods Market as a Team Educator and Buyer for herbal supplements, nutraceuticals, clean beauty/aromatherapy, and natural lifestyle products.

Craving flexibility in her schedule to raise a family, Katie has found her niche in freelance support for entrepreneurs and small businesses. As a consummate professional and organized communicator, she is passionate about using her creative skills in design and technology to assist small businesses and help them grow and thrive. Her approach is multi-faceted; her skills consist of virtual administrative assistance, website design/administration, graphic design/branding, social media management, content creation, copywriting, tech support, sales, digital marketing outreach, and online course development. Katie is detail-oriented, yet down-to-earth, and prides herself on the care and attention she brings to her clients and work. She works well independently but also enjoys collaborating with others by working as a team to achieve the dream.

In her free time, Katie enjoys music, art, natural living, and exploring nature with her husband and son near their home in sunny San Diego.
